With the increased understanding of drug mechanisms and disease manifestations, escalated headway in clinical research, and breakthrough pharmaceutical technologies, an unparallel interest has been witnessed towards the realm of novel drug delivery systems. These drug delivery systems have been instrumental in bringing revolutionary changes in the treatment options and the health scenario across the globe. Likewise, the future is primed to unfold an epoch driven by a fusion of biotechnology and nanotechnology, as many drug products oriented on these cutting-edge technologies are already in the pipeline of approval by various key regulatory agencies.
